The 79 A.D eruption at the city of Pompeii was a very destructive eruption. Because people didn't know it was going to occur, Mount Vesuvius erupted for two days, and it was so treacherous that nobody wanted to clean up or try to rebuild the city buried under ashes, made it even worse.
Before The Eruption
Lives were lived with luxury, everybody having lots of money.
The city was a popular city of Roman architecture with temples for each Roman God made of ivory and marble, fountains of Roman figures made of marble.
Jobs were easy to get because the town needed their architects, merchants, farmers, etc.

After The Eruption
Roman beliefs and their studies were harder to learn.
Streets began to crumble from wind and rain.
All of the fountains, temples, and religious buildings were burned to the ground.
Jobs were harder to get because everybody needed a job so they could pay to repair.
In both cities, it became densely populated because people didn't want to suffer the eruption again.
